Senior Accountant

Responsibilities: · Responsible for a variety of general accounting duties · Own the allocation of expenses to business units · Perform mass uploads of data from subsystems to the general ledger · Analyze expenses · Manage the preparation and posting of journal entries · Compile and analyze schedules for internal purposes and financial audits · Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, research variances and determine appropriate resolution · Respond to and resolve all internal and external inquiries in a timely manner · Ensure business controls are followed and operating as designed · Other finance/accounting responsibilities will be assigned as needed Required Qualifications: · Strong analytical skills, ability to propose resolutions to problems · Ability to work with limited supervision · Have strong working knowledge of accounting theories and practices and the ability to understand the relationship between operational processes and accounting impacts · Must stay current on accounting practices – Must attend a minimum of 6 CPE classes per year. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of employees throughout all levels of the organization · Team player and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment · Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work under tight deadlines · Must be detail-oriented and a self-starter Minimum Requirements: · Minimum of 5 years relevant accounting experience · Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance · Strong to Advanced Excel skills · Knowledge of Great Plains or SAP preferred · CPA preferred Call View phone number on job-api.jobget.com!Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $30.00 - $45.00Job SummaryJob number: 588474Profession: Accounting/Finance
