Meat Manager

Position Summary As a Meat Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in meat and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. What You’ll Do Be a Team Leader : Supervises the team within the meat department to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club by communicating the goals of the department and executing company programs while adhering to policies and being an advocate for the member, the associate and the company. Working collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club is meeting the members’ expectations. Be an Expert : Maintains an in-depth knowledge of business on the floor, backroom operations, product updates and specifications. Ensures the meat department meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, production, equipment usage, safety, sanitation and compliance. Shares knowledge and prioritizes training for the team to understand item specifications and utilize approved equipment for high‑volume products. Engages with members and shares passion of the product to help them make the right protein selection. Be a Techie : Leverages digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilizes handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality, adopting new tools and encouraging others to use them. Be an Owner : Drives business results, ensures commitment to operational excellence, and maintains a neat, clean and safe work area. Utilizes digital tools for forecasting, planning and production, facilitates product inventory and ordering, ensures appropriate staffing and audit compliance, and maintains equipment and storage systems. Be a Talent Ambassador : Teaches and trains the team by identifying training needs, providing and developing necessary skills, encouraging career growth, and sourcing new talent. Develops and implements processes that meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and partners. Demonstrates compliance with company policies, procedures and ethics. Provides guidance, supports the Open Door Policy and assists management with correcting compliance issues. Leads teams, shares resources, determines customer needs, coordinates work assignments and models change management. Embraces diversity, builds strong relationships, and acts with integrity. Serves customers and members, delivers results, decisions based on reliable information, and strives for excellence. The hourly wage range for this position is $24.00 to $32.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may be paid in the form of premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour depending on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed. Minimum Qualifications 6 months experience in a meat production department or 6 months experience supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to complete all required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period. Preferred Qualifications Experience in meat processing, including boneless and bone‑in products.
