Medical Office Associate I, Full Time, Days - AMG Surgical Associates - Freehold

Job Description

Responsible for general receptionist, registration, and billing duties in a physician office setting. Principal accountabilities include managing phones, greeting patients, scheduling/confirming appointments, entering demographics & patient information, verifying insurance coverage, completing forms, collecting co-pays, balancing cash, maintaining schedule in EMR system, and processing pre-certs/authorizations & referrals as well as medical records releases. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent experience, prior administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred, knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system a plus. Preferred: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer and employee focused, demonstrated ability to multi-task, proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
