The Part-Time Stationery Print Production Assistant will support the physical production, fulfillment and customer service side of the business. This includes sending customer proofs, reviewing approved customer orders for accuracy, sending files to print, checking printed materials for quality, cutting printed cards, applying scratch-off stickers, organizing order materials, packaging completed orders, and preparing packages for shipment.

Because many of our products are personalized, attention to detail is very important. The right person should be comfortable checking names, dates, quantities, design selections, and order notes before printing or packaging an order.

**Important Notice**

This is a part-time, in-person role in a home stationery studio that is offering approximately 15-20 hours per week at $17-$18 per hour. Benefits are not currently available. This position is best suited for someone seeking supplemental income and a consistent weekday schedule rather than full-time employment. There is potential for progression into a full-time role within the first 6-9 months but not guarantee. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys detailed, repetitive hands-on work, takes pride in beautifully finished products, and is specifically seeking consistent supplemental part-time income.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Review & Printing

• Review approved customer orders before printing.
• Check order details for accuracy, including customer name, event name, date, quantity, design selection, winner/loser counts, and personalization notes.
• Confirm that the correct production file, design, color, and quantity are selected before sending to print.
• Send approved customer orders to print using the provided printer and print settings.
• Monitor printed materials for obvious quality issues, including smudging, streaks, misalignment, incorrect sizing, wrong files, or poor print quality.
• Pause and ask questions before printing if anything looks incorrect, unclear, or incomplete.
• Handle light customer service with sending proofs to customers and handling general inquiries.

Production & Assembly:

• Cut printed cards and game materials using provided equipment.
• Apply scratch-off stickers neatly and accurately to game cards.
• Count cards and confirm order quantities.
• Sort and organize orders by customer name and order details.
• Keep printed materials clean, organized, and protected during production.
• Flag any order concerns, print issues, quantity mismatches, personalization errors, or quality problems before packaging.

Packaging & Fulfillment

• Package completed orders using provided packaging materials.
• Apply labels, stickers, inserts, or other packaging items as instructed.
• Confirm that each order includes the correct products and quantities before sealing.
• Prepare outgoing packages for shipping.
• Drop off completed packages at the designated UPS and/or Fedex when needed.
• Communicate when packaging materials or supplies are running low.

Workspace & Process Support

• Keep the production area clean, organized, and ready for the next batch of orders.
• Follow written instructions, checklists, and quality standards.
• Communicate clearly if there are questions, delays, mistakes, or supply issues.
• Help maintain a smooth and organized production workflow.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is:

• Very detail-oriented and careful with names, dates, spelling, quantities, and order notes.
• Reliable and able to show up consistently.
• Comfortable with repetitive hands-on work.
• Comfortable using a computer to open files, review order details, and send files to print.
• Able to follow step-by-step instructions and checklists.
• Neat, organized, and patient.
• Comfortable counting, sorting, cutting, assembling, and packaging paper products.
• Able to work independently after training.
• Willing to pause and ask questions if something looks incorrect.
• Takes pride in clean, accurate, professional-looking work.
• Comfortable lifting light boxes or stacks of paper/packaging supplies when needed.
• Has reliable transportation.
• Previous experience with crafting, packaging, fulfillment, print shops, small business production, or detail-oriented work is helpful but not required.

Physical Requirements

This role may involve sitting or standing for periods of time, cutting paper, applying stickers, assembling packages, using a printer, and carrying light packages or supplies. The work is not heavy labor, but it does require focus, neatness, and repetitive hand work.

Schedule

This is a part-time role with working days on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am-2:30pm. Some days may be busier than others and vice versa so workday end times will vary. Estimated starting hours are 15-20 hours per week , with the possibility of more total weekly hours during busy seasons, holidays, or product launches.

Compensation

Pay is $17-$18 per hour with the possibility of increase with good performance and/or the learned ability to operate more advanced commercial printing and finishing equipment.

Training

Training will be provided. The assistant will learn how to review approved order details, send files to print, check print quality, cut cards, apply scratch-off stickers, package orders, follow order notes, and check completed products for accuracy before shipping.
