The Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for safely setting up and operating Press Brake and Turret Presses and manual sheet-metal equipment to produce precision-built components. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to meet quality and productivity expectations in a fast-paced environment.


salary: $58,000 - $66,000 per year

work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment such as Press brakes, saws, drills, Turret presses, and hand tools
• Set up and run Turrets and Press Brakes at proper speeds and feeds
• Fabricate and modify sheet metal to meet design specifications
• Operate press brake with correct dies and determine bend lines/tooling using bend allowances
• Use grinders to deburr flame-cut parts
• Inspect completed units to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications
• Support maintenance and troubleshooting efforts as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
