Client Partner — Retail (Seattle based)

Join our team as a Client Partner, where your specialized experience in the Retail industry will drive impactful client relationships and fuel business growth. As a Senior Client Partner within the Retail domain, you will play a hybrid role: the majority of your time will be spent deepening and growing our existing retail, e-commerce, and consumer goods relationships, while a meaningful portion is dedicated to identifying and winning new logos to expand Mastech Digital's footprint in the vertical.

You will lead client engagements and act as a trusted strategic advisor, aligning AI, data, and digital transformation initiatives with client objectives to deliver measurable outcomes such as improved customer experience, supply chain efficiency, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Account Growth & Farming (~70%)

• Build and deepen relationships with senior stakeholders across an existing portfolio of Retail and Consumer organizations.

• Own the revenue and growth targets for one or more retail accounts.

• Lead account planning, mining, and farming activities to expand wallet share and drive renewals. • Act as a trusted partner by understanding the intersection of business strategy, customer behavior, supply chain dynamics, and AI/Data Analytics capabilities.

• Collaborate with Data Analytics / Engineering and Presales teams to define customized expansion solutions using AI/ML, Data, and Analytics.

• Partner with the GTMs and Delivery team to ensure high-quality execution and client satisfaction. • Act as the escalation point and ensure SLAs are met.

New Logo Acquisition & Hunting (~30%)

• Identify, prospect, and build relationships with net-new Retail, E-commerce, and Consumer Goods logos.

• Build and manage a qualified pipeline of new business opportunities aligned to account growth targets.

• Support new business development efforts via proposals, SOWs, and pitch decks.

• Work with marketing teams to develop AI-led value propositions for the Retail vertical and use them to open new accounts.

• Represent Mastech Digital at industry events and forums to generate new business leads.

Experience

• 8–12 years in client-facing roles that combine account management/farming with business development/hunting (e.g., Account Management, Consulting, Pre-sales, New Business Development).

• Prior experience working with or selling to Retail, E-commerce, or Consumer Goods clients is a must.

• Demonstrated track record of both growing existing accounts and winning net-new logos.

• Strong understanding of AI/ML, data platforms, or analytics solutions.

• Experience managing a 7mn – 10 mln account portfolio, plus a track record of new business origination, is a plus.

Technical Fluency

• Ability to understand and position AI-driven solutions (e.g., personalized recommendations, demand forecasting, computer vision for store analytics, pricing optimization).

• Exposure to modern data platforms (e.g., Master Data Management, Informatica, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS).

• Comfort working with technical teams to translate business problems into Data Analytics and AI/ML solutions.

Soft Skills

• Executive presence and ability to influence C-suite stakeholders.

• Consultative selling and prospecting skills, with comfort operating in both farmer and hunter modes. • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
