Job Description As our Recreation Director, your primary responsibilities will include: Planning, organizing, and directing recreational therapy programs aimed at improving the quality of life for all residents. Working with residents at the bedside to engage them in specially designed activities. Assisting in the transportation of residents to areas where programs are being conducted. Documenting resident participation and progress in recreational activities. Qualifications To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications: Certification as a Recreation Therapist in accordance with the State's Public Health Code is required. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language. The ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Tactful communication skills when interacting with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public. Possess patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, with a willingness to handle residents at their current level of functioning.
