Career growth and development Diverse and collaborative working environment Paid Time Off Affordable and comprehensive benefits package The Public Safety Officer is responsible for patrolling JHMI campus via foot, mobile unit or bicycle to protect against illegal activities, theft, fire, vandalism, hazardous conditions, infringements, etc. Hours Night Shift 12:00AM - 8:00AM Roll call 11:30PM Location Howard County General Hospital 5755 Cedar Lane Columbia MD Education Work requires a comprehensive knowledge of security functions as would normally be acquired by significant experience in a security operation preferably with completion of a High School degree or equivalent. Requires acceptable completion of basic security officer training. Assignment to the Communications Center requires successful completion of 911 and Communications dispatch training. Requirements Requires current certification in use of Corporate Security Services self defense equipment. Work Experience The candidate must have one (1) year of security experience in the Protective Services Officer Must be at least 21 years of age. Salary Range: Minimum $17.37/hour - Maximum $28.68/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
