Research Assistant / Senior Research Assistant, Division of Rheumatology, Allergy & Immunology

Job Overview The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology is hiring for the positions of Research Assistant and Senior Research Assistant. Candidates will assist in coordinating laboratory projects or research studies, conduct experiments, maintain animal colonies, and contribute to data analysis and project milestones. Responsibilities Independently perform experiments and record data according to research protocols. Maintain and oversee animal colony management and animal husbandry. Solve problems using combined research knowledge. Analyze research results, interpret data and assist in judging validity of data. Organize data search and analysis procedures. Assist in establishing test controls, criteria and research standards. Assist with the design of complex data processing systems to analyze research data. Accomplish assigned results for projects/studies or for significant aspects of larger, complex assignments. Serve as a seasoned professional. May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (e.g., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off). Perform related duties based on departmental need. Position: Research Assistant Required Education Bachelor’s Degree. Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline. Additional Qualifications Considered Computational science, biomedical informatics, techniques in molecular biology. Position: Senior Research Assistant Required Education Bachelor’s Degree. Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience Three (3) years of relevant experience. Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline. Additional Qualifications Considered Computational science, biomedical informatics, techniques in molecular biology.
