The estate offers a diverse and exciting food operation, from refined restaurant dining and relaxed service to afternoon tea, chef’s table experiences, private dining and a countryside café. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef who wants variety, quality and the chance to work across a truly impressive luxury hospitality setting. The food offering celebrates the very best seasonal produce from the estate, local suppliers and the surrounding region. Ingredients include fruit, herbs and vegetables from a working walled garden, venison from the estate, meat from farm tenants and seasonal foraged ingredients gathered from across the wider grounds. Working closely with an accomplished Head Chef, you will play a key role in supporting the day to day kitchen operation, leading services, developing junior chefs and helping to deliver beautifully executed dishes across a quality driven food operation. This role would suit a Sous Chef who is passionate about seasonal British produce, confident leading a brigade and ready to build a long term career within luxury hospitality. This role does provide accommodation , so you must be able to reliably commute or relocate to staff accommodation. Please note that this role does not provide Sponsorship; to apply you will need a full British Passport or the right to work in the UK. Sous Chef Ideal Profile: Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous Chef ready to progress within a luxury hotel or high quality restaurant Passionate about cooking with exceptional seasonal ingredients and delivering outstanding food consistently Experience working with fresh, locally sourced or estate grown produce would be beneficial Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop junior chefs Calm, organised and able to perform to a high standard in a fast paced professional kitchen Excellent knowledge of food safety, kitchen compliance and quality standards Confident supporting multiple dining styles, including restaurant service, terrace dining, afternoon tea and private dining A genuine desire to build a long term career within luxury hospitality Sous Chef Responsibilities: Support the Head Chef with the day to day management and organisation of the kitchen Lead services confidently, ensuring every dish is presented to exceptional standards of quality and consistency Train, mentor and develop junior members of the brigade to continually improve performance Assist with menu development, seasonal specials and innovative dishes using premium local and estate produce Support food delivery across a varied luxury estate operation, including restaurant dining, terrace service, afternoon tea and private dining Manage stock, ordering, food costs and waste while maintaining excellent kitchen efficiency Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety are maintained throughout the kitchen Help create a focused, professional and supportive kitchen culture where quality is at the centre of every service #J-18808-Ljbffr Ginger Hospitality
