Details Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30) 13-week assignment length Level III high-risk perinatal unit with 19 L&D beds, 10 antepartum beds, 30 postpartum beds, 3 ORs, 2 PACU bays, and a 7-bay triage area Facility averages 200-300 deliveries per month Target staffing ratios include 1:1 in labor, 1:3 couplets in postpartum with CNA support, and 1:2-3 in antepartum Weekend shifts required Floating required to Postpartum, with potential floating to sister facilities No on-call responsibilities Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience following AWHONN standards Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring certification required (AWHONN Advanced preferred) Epic EMR experience required Competency in sterile vaginal exams (SVE) required Experience in a facility with 200 deliveries per month preferred; candidates from facilities with 100-200 deliveries per month will be considered Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Additional Information Located at a Level II Trauma Center campus with 571 total staffed beds across both campuses Position is based at the Pavilion for Women and Children, which includes a Level II NICU Scrub colors are flexible except for reddish-orange Facility-paid parking provided Local candidates are not accepted and a 50-mile radius rule applies Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities in the area, and refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day All requested time off must be submitted upfront at the time of consideration First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-744689.
