Mac Engineer

The Mac Systems Engineer designs, implements, and supports enterprise Apple endpoint management with a strong focus on Jamf Pro. This role ensures secure, automated, and scalable lifecycle management of macOS devices while delivering a seamless end-user experience. The engineer partners closely with security, infrastructure, and end-user computing teams to maintain compliance, improve automation, and support a modern Apple environment.
Responsibilities include managing macOS provisioning and zerotouch deployments, developing configuration profiles and security policies, automating device workflows through scripting, overseeing application and patch management, and providing advanced troubleshooting for escalated Mac-related issues. The role also develops reporting and dashboards to track device health, compliance, and audit readiness.

Required Skills & Experience

3-5+ years managing macOS in an enterprise environment
Hands-on experience with Jamf Pro (administration and lifecycle management)
Strong knowledge of macOS architecture, provisioning, and device management
Experience with Apple Business Manager and zero-touch deployments
Proficiency in scripting (Bash required; Python or Zsh preferred)
Experience managing OS updates, patching, and application deployments
Understanding of endpoint security controls, compliance, and FileVault encryption
Ability to troubleshoot complex macOS issues and support escalations
