Senior Cost Accountant

Senior Cost Accountant Location: Waterloo/Cedar Falls area, IA Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $100K-$120K About the Opportunity Pathway Talent Partners is partnering with a well-established manufacturing client to identify a Senior Cost Accountant. In this role, you will play a key part in analyzing cost structures, supporting month-end close, and driving visibility into manufacturing performance across multiple business units. This position offers an opportunity to create and drive processes, while receiving guidance and support. Key Responsibilities Support the monthly close cycle with a focus on inventory reconciliation, including entries related to transfers and variance analysis Evaluate and report on gross margin performance, partnering with both Finance and Operations to communicate key insights Collaborate with U.S. manufacturing sites on cycle count programs, as well as maintaining and reviewing labor and overhead rates, bills of materials, and routing structures Leverage cost accounting methodologies to enhance processes tied to inventory, margin analysis, and financial reporting Assess production costs, including labor absorption, to identify variances and opportunities for operational improvement Contribute to the development and maintenance of work center rates across manufacturing operations Review completed production orders, investigate significant variances, and recommend process improvements where applicable Participate in the annual standard cost roll, including analysis of cost changes, as well as supporting ad hoc updates as needed Generate and refine OEE metrics utilizing the company’s ERP system Provide support on additional analyses, initiatives, and special projects as assigned Qualifications Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field 3+ years Cost accounting experience Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little direction, as well as being comfortable in a team-oriented environment Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize/organize daily workload Exposure to process improvement ideas in an accounting setting is highly desired Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with employer contributions Paid time off and paid holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr Pathway-Talent-Partners
