Pay Rate: $18.30 - $19.30 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and identify unusual conditions.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access control activities, incidents, and policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
