About the job Industrial Maintenance Technician II - PLC & Manufacturing Equipment

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Technician II (Associate) who will be responsible for performing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting and repairs on production machinery in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role supports daily operations, performs preventive and predictive maintenance, and ensures equipment reliability to minimize downtime and maintain safe operations.

Responsibilities:

Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair

Perform welding, cutting, and basic fabrication as needed.
Use electrical/electronic testing equipment to identify issues.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

Document maintenance activities and equipment status.
Perform scheduled PM and predictive maintenance tasks.
Identify opportunities to reduce scrap and improve equipment performance.

Equipment Installation & Upkeep

Install, maintain, and repair machinery and production equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
Operate hand tools and shop tools (drill press, grinders, band saws, hydraulic press, etc.)

Safety & Compliance

Maintain clean and safe work areas.
Follow lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and all safety procedures.
Support compliance with manufacturing quality and safety standards (IATF, ISO)

Team Support & Communication

Work independently with minimal supervision.
Assist in training junior maintenance associates.
Communicate equipment status to supervisors and team members.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

Proficiency with hand tools and shop equipment.
Welding and fabrication experience (gas/electric)
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Technical degree or equivalent education/experience.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
