Clinical Analyst 2The University of Miami Health System IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Clinical Analyst 2 to work at in Miami onsite at Sole Mia.The Clinical Analyst, Sole Mia works to ensure the clinical computer information systems in the UHealth system are working efficiently and effectively. The analyst provides further experience and knowledge to ensure all aspects of applications and systems development, build and implementation. The Clinical Analyst, Sole Mia may lead software upgrades and testing, analyze, define and apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems regarding clinical application systems. The Clinical Analyst, Sole Mia works closely with team members, staff and other personnel to further their understanding of objectives and requirements for the assigned clinical system. The analyst may be responsible for understanding change impacts, formulating strategies with key stakeholders, and addressing problems and challenges within the clinical information systems which may include software problems, hardware issues or network difficulties.Core Responsibilities:Provides support for designated clinical application systems.Augments and facilitates the design, development, implementation of enhancements to existing business systems.Facilitates database conversions and performs system analysis.Creates end user documentation to include training materials and report writing/creation within the systems managed.Participates in operational workflow validation including requirements, specifications, and gaining end user acceptance.Responsible for leading software upgrades and testing from an application perspective to include test plan creation and validation.Coordinates software updates and changes, reviews and tests each new release, and reports application system testing results.Performs periodic checks to ensure that data is entered and retrieved correctly and that all regulations regarding confidentiality and security are being followed.Understands change impacts and resistance and formulate strategies with key stakeholders to address impacts and build commitment.Provides support for designated application systems. Augments and facilitates the design, development, implementation of enhancements to existing business systems.Facilitates database conversions and performs system analysis.Trains customers on applications/reports/solutions as required.Manages Service Level Agreements (SLA) breaches by meeting with customers.Maintain appropriate and professional communication with business owners and end users.Assists user management in setting priorities within that functional area.Adheres to UHealth IT standards.Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.Department Specific Functions:As a Clinical Analyst you will report to the Senior Manager and will be responsible for:Providing oversight and leadership to Associate Clinical Analysts on the teamImplementing, building, and modifying the applicationCollaborating with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application's configuration, function, and accessAs a Clinical Analyst you will:Serve as primary workflow support onsite contact for application end-users.Perform daily onsite rounding.Design, develop, implement, and maintain the application’sSupport all phases of testing including integrated testing, user acceptance testing, technical dress rehearsal, and document workflow designPerform analysis of new releases and determine how they will impact workflowIdentify issues and work to resolve themProvide day-to-day application support, evaluate and resolve service tickets, respond to telephone inquiries, implement requested application changes, and retrieve requested data in a timely mannerCommunicate and coordinate system functionalities with the Epic EMR systems teams and Operations staff, including downtime procedure configuration, support, and functionalityCollaborate with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategiesParticipate in on-call rotations and supportMaintain regular communication with team members and participate in weekly project team meetingsReview the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadershipBecome knowledgeable about UHealth's policies, procedures, and business operationsThis list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in relevant field requiredMinimum 3 years of relevant experience required preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organizationPrevious operational, project management, and organizational skills preferredLearning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.The University of Miami offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, tuition remission and more.UHealth-University of Miami Health System, South Florida’s only university-based health system, provides leading-edge patient care powered by the ground breaking research and medical education at the Miller School of Medicine.
