Staff Accountant

Onsite in Hannibal, MO. Monday-Friday 7am-4pm. From $60,000/year. Consolidated Machine & Welding is looking for a Staff Accountant at our Hannibal, MO location. Under general direction, you’ll perform professional accounting work, including: the maintenance and review of financial records; preparing various reports and financial statements; and performing a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. What You’ll Do: Perform month-end closing activities. Manage balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses. Review and analyze transactions of production orders to ensure accurate costing. AP/AR and General Ledger activities on a weekly basis. Review and establish standard costs as needed. Participate and support inventory processes. Including physical inventories. Measure and report KPIs related to operational performance. What You’ll Need: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 1-3 years in operational, inventory, and/or cost accounting in a manufacturing environment. Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision. Proficiency in MS Excel. High level of initiative and accountability. Strong attention to detail, accuracy and precision in all tasks. Excellent ability to organize information, manage tasks and projects, and use available tools to effectively contribute to the organization. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Willingness to work overtime to meet accounting deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents and oral communication skills. The above list is non-exhaustive.
