Summary:

• Coordinates the shipping or storage of green bean with the Processing Operations Manager “POM”, Assistant POM, the Accounting Department, Sales and Marketing Department, the Roast Plant and the Retail Sales Department.
• Makes arrangements for shipping of green bean coffee. Confirms that shipping manifests are prepared properly and from time to time may also prepare manifests.
• Plans and schedules loading of bags of green bean finished goods into container load or less-than container load shipments maximizing efficiency.
• Maintains all green bean storage facilities in a clean, organized and efficiently operating manner and performs minor servicing, maintenance, and cleaning of AC’s, dehumidifiers and circular chart recorders in green bean storage areas.
• Maintains an accurate inventory of green bean and supplies.
• Coordinates inspection and stamping of green bean lots with State Department of Agriculture inspector.
• Sets, monitors and manages traps for cats, rodents, meal-moths and other pests to prevent contamination or infestation in coffee.
• Inspects and monitors status of safety equipment such as ladders, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations in warehouse and other areas.
• Transports roasted products, supplies, parts, materials and equipment for the Roast Plant, E-commerce, and Visitor Center as needed.

Job Duties:

1. Takes and logs accurate inventory of green bean, packaging materials, dry goods and consumables.
2. Tracks, identifies and lays out bags of green bean by lot to allow for good access and accurate inspection by the State Department of Agriculture inspector and stamps tags on bags and sacks of green bean with State grades.
3. Confirms that shipping manifests are prepared properly and from time to time may also prepare manifests. Plans and schedules loading of bags of green bean (finished goods) into container load or less-than container load shipments maximizing efficiency.
4. Shrink wraps pallet-loads of bagged green bean coffee by hand or with shrink-wrap machine.
5. Loads or directs loading of green bean into shipping containers. Prepares less-than-container loads of green bean for inter-island or on-island shipments.
6. Assists with bagging operations as required.
7. Maintains all green bean storage facilities and performs inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting and minor servicing of AC’s, dehumidifiers and chart recorders to maintain controlled climate for optimum green bean storage.
8. Cleans and maintains warehouse and shipping areas as well as factory offices and grounds.
9. Cleans and services assigned equipment on a regular basis. Reports needed repairs to supervisor.
10. Makes pickups and deliveries for Roast Plant, E-commerce and Visitor Center as needed.
11. Complies with all Federal, State, Local and Company safety, health and environmental regulations.
12. Complies with all Company Rules and Company Policies.
13. Performs other duties as required.

1. Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and taking instructions in English
2. Possess good organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy
3. Competent in basic Mathematics
4. Must be capable of lifting 100lbs repetitively
5. Valid State of Hawaii Driver's License
6. Forklift Operators License
7. Must be able to pass a PUC Physical Exam
