Tech - Sterile Processing Tech

Job Summary:

This Sterile Processing Technician role involves providing essential sterilization, decontamination, and equipment assembly services within a busy hospital setting. The technician will support various departments and may be required to float across different facilities to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping of surgical instrumentation.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards specific to sterile processing.
  
  
• 
  Assist in preparing surgical instruments for a variety of cases, including neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN procedures.
  
  
• 
  Float between departments or locations as needed, maintaining flexibility and efficiency.
  
  
• 
  Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records of sterilization processes.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure all sterilized instruments meet quality standards.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess at least 2 years of sterile processing experience with a Level 1 Trauma Facility preferred.
  
  
• 
  Hold current CBSPD and/or HSPA certification.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in sterilization, decontamination, and instrument assembly.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work night shifts (11 p.m. 7:30 a.m.) and weekends as part of rotation.
  
  
• 
  Comply with travel and licensure requirements including South Carolina RN license or pending application.
  
  
• 
  Capable of floating across multiple facilities including ART, Main, or West Campus.
