About the Role
The Company is in search of a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer to lead its large bundled golf community. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader, ensuring operational excellence, financial sustainability, and a consistently outstanding member experience. This role requires a proven club executive with a background in managing a complex, multi-department operation, including golf, food and beverage, facilities, finance, human resources, and member services. The GM/COO will be responsible for fostering a culture of exceptional member service, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, while also working in close partnership with the Board of Directors. Key attributes include strong financial and business acumen, expertise in strategic planning, and the ability to maintain the appropriate distinction between governance and management. The ideal candidate for the General Manager/Chief Operating Officer position at the company will have a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or substantial club or hospitality leadership experience. Professional designations such as Certified Club Manager (CCM) or Certified Chief Executive (CCE) are preferred. The role demands a leader who is an active listener, communicates openly and transparently, and is committed to the long-term success of the organization. The GM/COO will be expected to lead with a strategic mindset, anticipate changes in the industry, and embrace innovation and technology to enhance the member experience. Responsibilities also include leading a high-volume operation, engaging with members and staff, and championing employee development and succession planning. The candidate should be a respected, member-focused leader who supports employees, values collaboration, and makes thoughtful, fact-based decisions.
