We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Associate to join our supply chain and warehouse management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, analyzing stock data, and supporting procurement and logistics operations. This role requires strong data analysis skills, technical proficiency with inventory management systems, and effective cross-functional communication to optimize inventory control and supply chain efficiency. The Inventory Associate plays a vital role in ensuring seamless warehouse operations, demand planning, and materials handling to meet organizational goals.

Duties

• Monitor and manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 and SAP.
• Conduct data mining and analysis to identify trends, root causes of discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Perform inventory control activities including stock counting, cycle counting, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
• Support procurement processes by sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and managing contracts to optimize costs.
• Utilize data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau for reporting on inventory metrics, supply chain analytics, and demand planning insights.
• Assist with logistics functions such as shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Analyze pricing strategies, financial modeling, and supply chain management practices to improve overall efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, production planning, and supplier management to streamline operations.
• Use SQL, spreadsheets, Excel data analysis, and other technical tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting purposes.
• Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies in warehouse operations or inventory management workflows.
• Handle heavy lifting as needed during materials handling activities while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management software (such as ERP systems), or supply chain analytics.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools like Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel (including data visualization), and Nielsen or similar datasets.
• Technical proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP systems like SAP or Oracle, and materials management tools.
• Knowledge of logistics inventory management, demand planning, procurement processes, and contract negotiations.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements within warehouse operations.
• Experience with freight shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, materials handling, and stock control procedures.
• Familiarity with sourcing strategies, supplier management experience, financial analysis related to pricing models or financial forecasting.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across departments such as production planning or merchandising.
• Physical ability for heavy lifting when necessary; adherence to safety standards is essential.
• Strong math skills along with technical proficiency in ERP systems like AS400 or similar platforms are preferred.
