Production Tech The Production Tech tends one or more machine tools, special purpose machines, or works to specifications on production basis for assembling an entire product or components of a product to produce the highest quality product for the end user. Perform quality checks on products and parts Inspects and measures machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications. Count and assemble kits for other components. Wrap and box components. Cleans machined parts. i.e. drill table, drill press. Tends machines and equipment other than machine tools. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice Requirements Machine and Tools Used Ability to use and understand air tools Ability to use sockets and wrenches Box Taping Machine Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Problem Solving Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Working Hours: Hours will be 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday Working Conditions/Physical Demands of the Job: Warehouse/Production: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those typical in a warehouse environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, including the sounds of forklifts and tools. The temperature in the warehouse is moderate to hot depending on the time of the year. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
