As a Security Officer Entry Inspection in Orlando, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a correctional location, you will help monitor entry points, screen people and belongings, and support security-related protocols through attentive observation and professional communication. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed05:00 AM - 05:00 PMThur06:15 AM - 06:15 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities for a correctional location.
Screen visitors, staff, contractors, and/or personal belongings using designated screening equipment and established post orders to help identify prohibited items and unauthorized entry attempts.
Monitor entry points, verify identification and authorization, and direct individuals through the check-in process in a calm, professional manner.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with a problem-solving approach, escalating concerns and documenting security-related activity according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter locations as directed, with duties and conditions varying by post.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
