Software Engineer Level 1 with Security Clearance

Job Overview The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets realtime systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Responsibilities Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. System Design Contributions Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components. Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph within the last 5 years. Seven (7) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university; four years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Technical Focus Software development focusing on C++ code for the core team; development of processing system for 2.0. Compensation and Benefits Compensation Range: $150,000 - $170,000. Compensation ranges encompass a total compensation package and serve as a general guideline only; they are not intended as a guaranteed or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Official compensation or salary determinations depend on factors such as level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, candidate’s scope of relevant experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and local market data.
