Certified Medical Tech Aide/Technician

Dispensing oral, inhalation and topical medications to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse unless otherwise allowed by state law. Observing patients for drug reactions and reporting any problems to the nurses. Performing tasks associated with medication administration, including patient vital signs, calculating medication dosages and stocking the medication cart. Recording medication administration according to agency procedure. Assisting the nurse in providing care to clients, which includes observation and reporting of client needs. Recognizing and performing tasks according to the level of education and training. Accepting responsibility and accountability for own performance according to state laws and regulations. Performing tasks in an ethical, legal and caring manner. Performing tasks safely and effectively to assure client comfort and welfare. Respecting client rights. Protecting confidential client information unless otherwise required to promote client safety and welfare. Following federal, state, and agency regulations to protect own health and that of others. Seeking guidance from the nurse as needed to perform tasks safely and efficiently.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Medication Aide Certification. Demonstrated experience with production of specialized materials and documents. Proofreading and editing skills.

Pay Rate: $21.50
