About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP Must-Have: Experience in transition, postpartum, and newborn care Description: Data collection completed on 6/25/2026. Unit Information: The unit has 8 labor beds, 2 triage beds, 2 operating rooms, and 1 recovery room bed. There are 32 staff members. Staff includes: - Day Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 5 Registered Nurses, 1 Transition RN, 1 Unit Secretary, 1 Certified Surgical Technologist. - Night Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 4 Registered Nurses, 1 Transition RN, 1 Unit Secretary, 1 Certified Surgical Technologist. Patient ratios are 1:1 to 2:1. Equipment includes GE Monitors, Panda Warmers, Novi, Neptune EMR, CPN, and Meditech. The ideal candidate should be a team player, motivated, independent, and flexible. Typical procedures performed include laboring and vaginal delivery, cesarean sections, and care of newly delivered mothers and their newborns. Every other weekend work is required. Charge experience is preferred.
