Timekeeper
The Department of Social Services (DSS) is comprised of the administrative units of the New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA) and the Department of Homeless Services (DHS). HRA is dedicated to fighting poverty and income inequality by providing New Yorkers in need with essential benefits such as Food Assistance and Emergency Rental Assistance. DHS is committed to preventing and addressing homelessness in New York City by employing a variety of innovative strategies to help families and individuals successfully exit shelter and return to self-sufficiency as quickly as possible. Human Resources Solutions (HRS) supports the human resources needs of the Department of Social Services, the Human Resources Administration, and the Department of Homeless Services through strategic partnership and collaboration, with the goal of creating an inclusive, motivated, and client centered workforce. Human Resources Solutions (HRS) is recruiting for one (1) Clerical Associate IVs to function as Timekeepers, who will perform the following:
* Verify all changes in assigned work units, such as leave status, via collateral telephone calls to the unit's timekeeping/personnel liaison processing these changes. Also, make adjustments to input in the Payroll Management System for paycheck preparation.
* On a daily basis, review all Citytime reports such as the daily Transmitted report, daily Not Transmitted reports, Late Overtime and Leave Approvals report and the Leave Without Pay report, both online and in hard copy, to enable the weekly processing of leave usage and overtime earned.
* On processing dates based on the above approved Transmitted reports, reviews and verifies the accuracy of employee leave balances via PMS and RMDS report. Staff who do not have sufficient leave balances are processed as leave without pay on their subsequent paycheck entries.
* At the end of the Payroll Timekeeping biweekly cycle, prepare hold lists for the cycle's paychecks for employees with incomplete records to issue late approval reports.
* Prepare supplementary (adjusted) paychecks on the Agency's supplementary payroll during the assigned window of Monday through Wednesday of pay week.

Minimum Qualifications: A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
