Sterile Processing Technician

The position requires a Sterile Processing Technician for a day shift. This role involves processing surgical instruments and equipment according to sterile processing standards. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant environment. First-time travelers with Trauma I experience may be considered. No weekend coverage is required for this position. The average daily tray volume is 700, with 72 operating rooms in use. Successful candidates will float within the facility scope of care as needed. The facility promotes an environment free of the use of personal listening devices during shifts. Attendance is critical, with a focus on maintaining a professional and responsible presence. All shifts must be adhered to, with strict limits on requested time off. Flexibility to meet the needs of the facility is essential. The preferred charting system experience includes EPIC. Travel experience is also required. Specific skills required include aseptic technique, sterilization wrapping procedures, and proper selection of wrapping materials. Additional experience in various surgical disciplines is beneficial. Candidates are encouraged to be prepared for the responsibilities that come with working in a busy surgical services department.
