Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a large, enterprise-level corporate accounting team in a fully remote, contract-to-hire capacity, with a preference for candidates located in or near Atlanta, GA. This role is ideal for an accountant with a strong foundational background who is beginning to step into senior-level responsibilities. The position is with a leading infrastructure construction and engineering firm in North America, known for its expertise in designing and building critical infrastructure such as highways, bridges, rail systems, dams, aviation facilities, and water management project. The Senior Accountant will focus on higher-level accounting functions, including financial analysis, reporting, and preparation of financial statements, while supporting month-end close activities and performing account reconciliations. The position emphasizes analytical and reporting work rather than heavy transactional duties and includes light review and oversight of staff accountants' work. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and leadership teams within a complex, high-volume corporate environment to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. We are targeting a $40-45 and hourly rate.

Required Skills & Experience

3-5 years of overall accounting experience


Exposure to large, enterprise-level or highly structured corporate environments

Some senior-level accounting experience (ideally 1 year or less)

Strong experience with financial analysis and reporting

Hands-on experience preparing financial statements

Ability to review and provide guidance on staff-level accounting work

Minimum Bachelor's degree in accounting from an established 4 year public or private university preferably top 150 business schools in the US
