Senior Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage full cycle accounting for construction projects including cost tracking budgeting and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review project financial statements and reports while analyzing variances against budgets.
• Oversee billing processes and ensure project costs are captured accurately and allocated appropriately.
• Maintain contract records including change orders and support funding tracking and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure financial accuracy support audits and maintain internal controls.

• A Bachelor degree in accounting finance or a related field with certification progress preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with strong exposure to construction environments.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of job costing and construction related financial practices.
• Possess experience working with construction billing processes and contract compliance requirements.
• Manage multiple projects effectively while working in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.

• Analyze project financial data and provide insights to support cost control and decision making.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and organization across multiple project accounting activities.
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with project managers and stakeholders.
• Communicate clearly and contribute to a team oriented and solution focused environment.
• Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and ability to handle complex financial scenarios.
