Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years of recent ICU experience License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias - Experience with patients in multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Knowledge of arterial line management and central line care - Experience with continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips - Management of ventilated patients - Understanding of arterial blood gas interpretation - Experience with isolation precautions and PPE Description: We are seeking a skilled ICU Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience. Candidates must have their nursing license in hand. Local candidates are encouraged to apply. The nurse will be required to work full 12-hour shifts and come prepared to orient on their first day. Travel nurses in this role must achieve a minimum score on a telemetry assessment covering cardiac rhythm interpretation to ensure patient safety. The assessment will test the nurse's knowledge of heart blocks, arrhythmias, and appropriate clinical interventions. This position requires independent measurement and interpretation of telemetry strips, as there will not be telemetry technicians available. Candidates should be prepared to coordinate with peers for shift coverage and patient care. Prior experience as a charge nurse is preferred. The ability to work in a high-acuity environment is essential for success in this role. The application of skills in critical care will be expected on a daily basis.
