Lakeshore Behavior Consulting is hiring a full-time, school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students at a local school district in Chicago Heights, Illinois. This is an in-person, W-2 position with school-day hours and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech-language therapy and consultative services to students with diverse communication needs
- Conduct evaluations, write assessment reports, and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Develop measurable communication goals and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state requirements
Qualifications
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement
- Active Illinois IDFPR Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- School-based experience preferred but not required
Compensation and Benefits
- $55–$65 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- 12-month pay schedule
- School hours: 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
