Operations Analyst

Location and Work Model Sun Life embraces a hybrid work model that balances in‑office collaboration with the flexibility of virtual work. Team members and leaders are expected to be present in the office at least two days per week. Responsibilities Ensure new and renewal contracts match underwriting approvals and TPA Work Awarounds (Specific, Aggregate, Health Navigator dates, claim basis, rates, number of lives, fees, etc.). Customize contracts according to TPA Work Awarounds and what was sold, including sub‑accounts with different claim basis, rates, and names. Set up the claims system, CMS, and Compass for billing, verifying all information (deductibles, claim basis, fees, lasers, retirees, payee and banking details). Review previous year’s contract for rate tier changes and update Compass accordingly. Administer revisions to contracts when notified by underwriting. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 2‑3 years of experience in the financial services industry. 2 years of experience working in stop‑loss claims and/or underwriting. Ability to comprehend and interpret client plan documents and stop‑loss policies. Broad knowledge of stop‑loss insurance products and processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to coach, develop, and motivate team members to achieve departmental goals. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to maintain professional relationships across all levels of the organization and with external TPAs and customers. PC proficiency and strong time‑management skills. Knowledge of company computer systems and products is a plus. Salary Base salary range: $49,200 – $66,400 per year.
