The ideal control buyer is motivated, results-oriented, and committed to the success of reorder SKUs driven by analysis of the stock-to-sales ratio, seasonal trends, and onsite merchandising.What You'll DoAnalyze, anticipate and monitor inventory levels for assigned departmentsForecast company inventory levels to determine products to reorderDrive revenue, receipt plans, and seasonal inventory strategies for key itemsPartner with test buyers, merchandising, production, and planners on open-to-buy management to achieve financial goals and strategic objectivesPartner with test buyers to develop product plans to support seasonal department merchandise strategies based on customers' expectations and fashion trendsManage inventory levels, ensuring effective decision-making around analysis, markdowns, orders, etc.Establish and maintain relationships with vendorsOwn daily onsite merchandising of assigned departmentsAd hoc projects as neededWhat You'll NeedBachelors degree requiredAt least 2 years of retail buying experience; core/basic buying within the fast fashion sector a plusExcellent communication; written, oral, and group facilitationDemonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, and managers at all timesWork well under pressure. Meet multiple, and sometimes competing deadlinesAbility to build and maintain positive relationships both internally and externallyAbility to apply logical thinking and sound judgment to a wide range of practical problemsStrong retail math skills are criticalStrong excel skills required (including formulas such as sumifs, vlookups, etc., and pivot tables)Must be able to work independentlySolid understanding of the Lulus brandSolid understanding of current trends within the fast fashion spaceWe're ready to meet you!
