About the Role:
MOTAN INC is looking for a skilled and motivated Customer Service Technician to join our team in Plainwell, MI. This is a hands-on role where you'll be the critical link between our customers and our technical solutions for plastic resin handling equipment, ensuring satisfaction at every touchpoint. Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers in person, by phone, and via email
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct on-site service calls and installations at customer facilities
- Document service activities, maintenance records, and customer interactions accurately
- Collaborate with internal engineering and sales teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Train customers on proper equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices
- Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and escalate unresolved issues appropriately
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Electro-mechanics or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a technical service, field service, or customer support role
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Proficiency with service management software and basic computer applications
- Willingness to travel locally for on-site customer service visits as needed
