Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
The Quality Inspector will perform precision inspections on aerospace components using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). This role focuses heavily on CMM operation and hands-on inspection of machined parts in a machine shop environment, with minimal paperwork and no CMM programming required. The inspector ensures that parts meet strict quality standards and customer specifications through accurate measurement, documentation, and collaboration with production teams.
Responsibilities
You will work with cutting-edge aerospace components for commercial aircraft, military platforms, attack helicopters, and fighter jets, contributing directly to exciting and complex projects. The company offers flexible hours, the ability to listen to music while you work, and a supportive environment that encourages growth into areas such as deburring, paint, CNC machining, and quality. Employees benefit from a 401(k) match, short- and long-term disability options, and healthcare with a significant portion of premiums paid. A unique healthcare perk brings licensed professionals to your home for routine check-ups, and overtime is rewarded with enhanced pay structures, reflecting a culture that values both your time and your well-being.
Work Environment
The role is based in a medium-sized machine shop with approximately 38 employees and a growth plan to reach about 50 employees in the coming years. The facility is relatively clean but can feel a bit crowded due to the presence of large CNC machines. The deburring and assembly area is set apart from the main floor, providing a dedicated workbench and focused workspace for inspection activities. Team members can listen to music while they work, contributing to a comfortable and productive atmosphere. Work hours are flexible, and overtime is available, with tiered overtime pay rates for hours worked beyond 40 per week. The environment is hands-on, fast-paced, and centered around advanced aerospace manufacturing technologies and precision equipment.
