In this role, you will be leading a transformation project to decommission legacy SQL database intermediate layers and establish direct, modern integration paths with Salesforce. You will bridge traditional database architecture and modern cloud ecosystems by designing and maintaining scalable real-time and batch integration streams.Here's what you'll be doing:Analyzing, phasing out, and decommissioning existing intermediate SQL relational databases currently functioning as staging layers between source systems and Salesforce.Architecting, developing, and deploying direct APIs (REST/SOAP) and event-driven patterns to connect upstream source systems directly to Salesforce.Rewriting complex SQL stored procedures, views, and ETL logic into scalable Apex, middleware logic, or declarative Salesforce flows.Designing data models and handling Large Data Volume (LDV) strategies within Salesforce to maintain high system performance, indexing, and optimal API footprint management.Writing clean, asynchronous, and well-tested Apex code, Triggers, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) while optimizing for Salesforce governor limits and error handling.Here's what our ideal candidate has:4+ years of dedicated experience as a Salesforce Data Engineer.Proven, hands-on experience migrating data from SQL databases to Salesforce (with explicit evidence of this migration work reflected on the resume).Experience decommissioning legacy SQL databases and setting up direct enterprise integrations.Preferred qualifications include active Salesforce Administrator or Platform Developer I certifications.Local to the Phoenix, AZ area and able to work a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite in the office).
