Role Description The Line Cook role is a full-time, on-site position based at Perry Lane Hotel in Savannah, GA. The Line Cook prepares and cooks menu items to hotel and brand standards, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation. Daily responsibilities include setting up and breaking down stations, following recipes and portion controls, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, and adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. The Line Cook works closely with the culinary team to support service, coordinate timing, and meet special dietary requests while minimizing waste and managing inventory. This role also contributes to a positive, collaborative work environment and may assist with training new culinary team members. Qualifications Professional culinary skills in hot and cold line preparation, including grilling, sautéing, roasting, and basic knife work. Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and kitchen hygiene in accordance with local health regulations. Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and plating standards to maintain consistency and quality. Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tickets and high-volume service. Team-oriented mindset with clear communication skills and a focus on supporting colleagues and guest satisfaction. Prior experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role; hotel or upscale dining experience is preferred. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as business requires.
