As an Information Technology Manager, Software, you will lead full‑stack engineering squads to build and support highly available, resilient, and secure solutions. The IT Manager will balance their time between technical thought‑leadership, hands‑on solution collaboration, and talent development. This leader will also be responsible for overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of projects, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers. Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software applications. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables. Ensure the implementation of best practices in software development and coding standards. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies such as Agentic AI solutions. Minimum Qualifications 10+ years of hands‑on professional experience in information technology, preferably managing development teams. Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum). Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar. Experience with AWS Cloud computing platform. Familiarity with generative AI concepts (LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures) and their practical enterprise applications. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools. Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex software projects. Solutions oriented, using rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions. Excellent written and verbal skills, communicating effectively with all levels of employees and management. Self‑learner, quickly picking up new technologies and delivering tangible results. Highly adaptable, driver of change, capable of quickly rallying teams. Personal accountability, acting proactively and accepting responsibility for outcomes. Collaborate and communicate across teams to improve domains and make IT greater than the sum of its parts. Systems thinking, understanding interdependencies in the Delta environment. Excellent judgement, balancing risk to operation with need for agility. Execute with a sense of urgency. Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or equivalency. At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field. Experience working in an airline technology environment.
