About the Role:

As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician with Midwest Best Block, you are responsible for:

• The maintenance of automated machinery
• Inspecting, repairing, and performing maintenance on all manufacturing machinery (This looks like hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control, and conveyor belt systems.)
• Reading schematics, blueprints, and a voltage meter (You need to have a solid understanding of 24v, AC/DC, 110V, transformers, conductors, relays, single and three-phase motors, and 480V for this to be the right fit for you.)
• Light welding and fabrication of machine parts (We use Stick or MIG, depending on the machine set-up.)
• Troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (We use Allen Bradley or Siemens products.)
• Assisting with building, grounds, and preventative maintenance throughout the facility.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least two years as a manufacturing maintenance technician
• At least two years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting
• Work in a dusty, climate-controlled, industrial environment
• (We also would be looking for someone with working experience using a CMMS software system.)
