Quick Facts Location: Boston, MA Start Date: 11/11/2026 End Date: 05/12/2027 Shift: 3x13-Hour (6:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Hours/Week: Varies based on schedule Employment Type: Locum/Temporary License/Certifications: MA State License (for PAs only), ACLS, BLS, DEA Experience: Minimum 2+ years in critical care Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $97.48 Pay & Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time per applicable laws Licensure, certification, and travel reimbursements (when applicable) What You’ll Do Collaborate with a team of 4 APPs, supervising or responding clinically in ICU Support patient care for adult ICU patients, primarily including bread-and-butter ICU and med-surg cases Respond to clinical needs during scheduled shifts, including responding to patient emergencies Complete morning and afternoon rounds with supervising MD or fellow Respond independently within scope, without procedures or complex neuro/transplant cases Adhere to hospital protocols, EMR documentation in Epic, and prioritize patient safety Be flexible to work nights, weekends, with preferred 4 weekend shifts per month What You Need Required: Board Certification in Acute Care (PICU/ICU experience preferred) Active MA license (PAs considered with 3–5 week licensing process) ACLS & BLS certifications DEA registration 2+ years of critical care experience Preferred: Local candidates preferred (ability to commute without travel) Experience in adult ICU and responding clinician roles About the Assignment This position is based at a teaching hospital in Boston, providing critical care services in a 10-bed ICU for adult patients. Responding clinicians will support staff during day and night shifts, ensuring safe, efficient patient care with minimal procedures involved.
