Surgical Technologist Opportunity

The UW Medical Center - Northwest Childbirth Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Surgical Technologist. Work schedule: Per Diem, Night Shift. Position highlights include working in a state-of-the-art environment, collaborating with a stable team of experienced colleagues, and receiving mentorship from distinguished clinicians/faculty at one of the nation's top-ranked research institutions.

Primary job responsibilities include taking the lead in the patient care experience by prepping and maintaining Operating Rooms for surgical procedures, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders and partners, working in a dynamic, fast-paced, problem-solving environment while maintaining vigilance of instruments and supplies used during surgical procedures, performing scrub role while supporting patient safety in a sterile environment, and support of post-operative tasks, including removal of contaminated instruments, decontamination, sterilization and turnover of the Operating Room.

Required position qualifications include completion of a Surgical Technologist program and one year of experience assisting clinical staff in a variety of operative procedures in an operating room environment or equivalent education/experience.

What we offer includes competitive pay and benefits, along with shift differentials for our Surgical Technologist staff: Evening Shift: $1.75/hour, Night Shift: $5.00/hour, Weekends: $4.00/hour.
