Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. The Business Information Analyst Senior will be responsible for analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations on data related to complex and varied business metrics. Typically provides technical assistance to lower-level staff.

We are looking for a developer who takes ownership of the systems and data they support. The Business Information Analyst Senior requires more than completing assigned SQL requests. The successful candidate will understand how backend database structures enable critical business processes, affect application functionality, and support downstream reporting and decision-making.

How you will make an impact:

• Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.
• Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.
• Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
• Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
• May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
• May make recommendations based upon data analysis.

Minimum Requirements: Requires a BS/BA degree in related field and a minimum of 3 years data analysis or related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• Minimum of three years of professional experience developing and supporting solutions in Microsoft SQL Server environments highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and advanced SQL, including complex queries, joins, subqueries, common table expressions, temporary tables, window functions, and data aggregation highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to design and modify relational database structures while considering scalability, maintainability, performance, and downstream reporting needs highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts, data types, primary and foreign keys, indexing, normalization, referential integrity, and transactional processing highly preferred.
• Experience supporting data that feeds operational reports, analytics, dashboards, or other downstream systems, with an understanding of how database changes may affect dependent processes highly preferred.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting backend database objects that support business-critical web applications, including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and scheduled processes preferred.
• Experience writing and reviewing data definition and data manipulation scripts, including the safe implementation of schema changes and data updates preferred.
• Experience analyzing and resolving data quality, application, and production-support issues across interconnected tables and processes preferred.
• Ability to translate business and application requirements into reliable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions preferred.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $77,520 to $116,280.
