Title Addiction Counselor Location New York, NY (Onsite) Position Type Full Time - Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat 01:00pm-09:00pm Compensation Pay Range: $60,000-$65,000 Per Year Description This position requires an Addiction Counselor to work onsite in New York, NY, providing full-time support to patients with substance use disorders. The role involves individual counseling, group facilitation, and collaboration with treatment teams. The schedule includes a mix of fixed and flexible hours. Requirements Experience managing a patient caseload with substance use disorders. Ability to conduct assessments, screenings, and crisis interventions. Proficiency in maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation. Strong collaboration skills with internal and external teams. Experience in trauma-informed care approaches. Ability to develop treatment plans with clinical supervisors. Experience in facilitating therapeutic groups. Qualifications Relevant certification or licensure in addiction counseling. Experience in clinical consultation and patient engagement. Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment and recovery processes. Experience in making referrals to appropriate treatment programs. Strong communication skills for patient and family support. Experience in psychoeducation and patient orientation.
