ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Summary You will serve as a Administrative Officer in the Administrative Support Office of NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND. Responsibilities You will perform administrative analytical planning and work concerned with the administrative and operational aspects of programs and management. You will direct comprehensive management reviews, identify systemic issues and apply critical problem solving techniques and make recommendations for improvement. You will apply qualitative and quantitative methods to assess program effectiveness and monitor impacts of management process changes. You will prepare and present high level management briefings, program status reports, and administrative summaries to agency leadership. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Assist with administrative program management; 2) Prepare official correspondence or documentation; 3) Identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to problems in organizational structure, staffing, administrative procedures, work processes, or workload distribution and 4) Ensure that local administrative instructions and policies are accurate and up-to-date. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of master's or equivalent graduate degree OR Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled. OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
