A philanthropic endeavor that truly embodies our corporate mission.Summary: We are looking for a self-motivated and professional Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse department. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments. Their duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations, and documenting damage to inventory.If you are a hardworking individual who can complete tasks successfully with little to no supervision, then we are interested in you. In this position, you will be responsible for picking & shipping orders, documenting orders, and storing merchandise. In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, our ideal candidate must be able to lift up to 75lbs on a continuous basis. You will also possess in-depth knowledge of various warehouse machinery and equipment such as pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and forklifts.Location: 6705 S 209 th St., Kent, WA 98032Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM with occasional overtime.Pay: $24.00 per hourPrimary Responsibilities:Obtain and process product orders based on shipping backlogKeep files of goods shipped by preparing regular shipping reports for managersUtilize RF scanner to transfer materials from location to locationHandle issues arising in shipping or inventory handlingTroubleshoots shipping issues and work to solve themPlace merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goodsKeep warehouse and workstations clean and neatOther Duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent qualification.A minimum of 5 years' experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics rolesExperience with freight carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL freight)Previous forklift experience/trainingKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proven ability to multi-task, set project priorities, goals and objectives for self.Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with co-workers, customers, and vendors.Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, inventory systems)Familiar with shipping software and ERP systemsAbility to prepare shipping documents (packing slips, bills of lading, invoices)Knowledge of domestic and or international shipping proceduresPhysical Requirements:Required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use hands to grip or feel; and occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlVision and depth perception suitable for utilizing a computer, printer, phone, and keyboardManual dexterity suitable for use of utilizing a computerSufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes which permits the employee to work in an office settingAbility to walk and/or climb 50% of the time comfortably, with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to sit at a computer for 50% of the time comfortably, with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to lift up to a maximum of 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodationWorking Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
