Job Summary
Seeking a Transportation Operations Clerk to support daily transportation and warehouse operations through administrative coordination, driver paperwork processing, customer service, and compliance tracking. This role requires strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail in a fast-paced operations environment.
Responsibilities
- Organize customer orders and assist with pickup coordination
- Greet customers, verify identification, and process order pickups
- Scan and provide cases/orders to customers
- Obtain required signatures on paperwork and handheld devices
- Process return codes and stage returns for shuttle operations
- Communicate unpicked orders to operations leadership
- Gather, organize, and process driver paperwork, manifests, logs, and vehicle inspections
- Answer phones, route calls, and take messages
- Research operational and delivery issues and assist with resolutions
- Process inbound freight paperwork and handle freight-related issues
- Run daily operational and transportation reports
- Monitor drive cam events and process documentation for coaching and signatures
- Maintain transportation compliance records and driver qualification files
- Support additional operational and clerical duties as assigned
Required Skills
- 03 years of clerical, operations, transportation, or warehouse support experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Basic arithmetic and computer skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical stamina and ability to support warehouse/operations activities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with transportation or logistics operations
- Familiarity with driver logs, manifests, and DOT compliance processes
- Experience using handheld scanners or onboard computer systems
Tools/Environment
- Transportation and warehouse operations environment
- Use of handheld devices and transportation tracking/reporting systems
- Daily interaction with drivers, customers, and operations teams
