Maintenance Director

Maintenance DirectorWorcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, a 146-bed skilled nursing facility, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our dynamic care team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the maintenance department to ensure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner. $30 to $35 an hour, depending on experience, with weekly pay.Responsibilities:Meet the maintenance needs of the facilityRecognize hazards to residents or staff safety and take appropriate action to maintain a safe environmentReplace, repair, and purchase items according to facility policy and procedurePlan and implement preventive maintenance programs and document accuratelyMaintain weather protection against cold, heat, fire, and other hazardsSupervise outside contractorsServe on-call for emergency and off-duty hoursPerform errands and tasks as requiredMaintain upkeep of exterior of building and grounds in all weather conditionsDemonstrate and teach correct safety techniques, in accord with company policy and prior trainingRequirements:High school diploma or its equivalentA minimum of three (3) years experience in a supervisory capacity, in maintenance/plant-related position preferredKnowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulationsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnelBenefits:Competitive and weekly payHoliday pay for hourly and salaried employeesOvertime pay for hourly employeesCareer advancement opportunitiesExclusive employer discount programAvailable for Eligible Team Members:Employer-paid life insurance401(k) with employer matchVacation and personal timeHealth, dental, and vision insuranceWe are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
