Junior Associate Attorney

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), a multi-office national defense firm and the largest minority owned law firm in the United States, is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney to join our Miami office, supporting our Insurance Defense practice. This is a full-time, in-office position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. About the Role The Associate Attorney will support attorneys handling a variety of insurance defense matters while managing an active caseload and gaining hands‑on litigation experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 1–2 years of insurance defense experience seeking to further develop their litigation skills within a collaborative and fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and eager to grow their practice while delivering exceptional client service. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Manage an assigned caseload of insurance defense matters under the guidance of senior attorneys Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other litigation‑related documents Conduct legal research and analyze legal issues Prepare and respond to written discovery Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances Assist with case strategy, evaluation, and trial preparation Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and team members Maintain compliance with court deadlines and client reporting requirements Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar 1–2 years of insurance defense litigation experience required Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery Excellent organizational, communication, and time‑management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced litigation environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software What We Offer QPWB offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package for full‑time employees, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Employer‑paid life insurance and short‑term disability 401(k) with employer match Paid vacation, holidays, and personal time off Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within a national law firm QPWB is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
