We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Grants Manager, Research Collaborations & Government Funding to support our growing portfolio of government-funded research programs, academic collaborations, and strategic innovation initiatives.

This role will serve as the primary administrator for government grants and sponsored research activities, ensuring compliance with funding agency requirements while facilitating successful collaborations between Siemens Healthineers, academic institutions, healthcare providers, and government agencies.

The ideal candidate combines expertise in grants administration, project coordination, compliance management, and stakeholder engagement across complex research and innovation ecosystems.The Grants Manager will work closely with Siemens Healthineers and academic scientists throughout the grants process.

In addition to the grants related responsibilities, the individual will be working closely with other team members of the Collaborations administration community.The role requires independent administration of multifaceted projects including clear and timely communication.

Key Responsibilities

Government Grants Administration

• Serve as the Siemens Healthineers administrator for government-funded grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts.
  

• Oversee grant administration activities from proposal development through award closeout.
  

• Monitor compliance with grant terms and conditions, funding agency requirements, and internal company policies.
  

• Manage and track:
  

• Conflicts of interest disclosures
  

• Project invoicing and financial reporting
  

• Effort reporting and timekeeping requirements
  

• Subaward and subcontract administration
  

• Project documentation and audit readiness
  

• Coordinate interactions with government agencies, universities, research institutions, and funding organizations.
  

• Manages No Cost Extensions, carryover, rebudgeting, changes in scope, and other necessary modifications, ensuring that all requests comply with sponsor guidelines and requirements
  

Collaboration Administration

• Independently manage administrative processes for research collaborations and sponsored projects.
  

• Coordinate agreement execution and project startup activities.
  

• Support proposal preparation, document collection, approvals, and submissions.
  

• Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, reporting requirements, and project milestones.
  

• Maintain accurate records of collaboration agreements and funded projects.
  

• Maintain and develop internal standard operating procedures for grants.
  

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Partner closely with:

• Facilitate internal reviews and approvals required for grant submissions and collaborative projects.
  

• Drive effective communication across multiple stakeholders and organizations.
  

Global Coordination

• Work with Siemens Healthineers global headquarters and collaboration administration teams to develop and execute support agreements.
  

• Ensure alignment between regional and global collaboration processes.
  

• Share best practices and support continuous improvement of collaboration and grant management processes.
  

External Stakeholder Engagement

• Build productive relationships with academic institutions, healthcare providers, government agencies, and research organizations.
  

• Support meetings, reporting activities, and partner communications throughout the project lifecycle.
  

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Public Administration, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Engineering, Research Administration, or a related field.
  

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in grants administration, sponsored research administration, research operations, or program management.
  

• Experience working with federally funded research programs and grant mechanisms.
  

• Experience managing collaborations among industry, academia, healthcare systems, and government organizations.
  

• Experience coordinating contracts, subawards, or research agreements.
  

• Experience working within a matrixed corporate environment preferred.
  

Knowledge

• Working knowledge of federal grant regulations and compliance requirements.
  

• Understanding of NIH grant mechanisms and administration.
  

• Familiarity with agencies such as:

• ARPA-H
  

• DoD
  

• DOE
  

• Knowledge of research collaboration agreements, sponsored research agreements, and related contracting processes.
  

• Understanding of conflict-of-interest management and research compliance requirements.
  

• Familiarity with financial reporting, invoicing, and effort/timekeeping requirements associated with grants.
  

• Familiarity with both pre- and post-award grant administration

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  

• Experience with grants management systems and government funding portals is highly desirable.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting NIH, ARPA-H, or other federal research funding programs.
  

• Experience within healthcare, life sciences, medical technology, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or academic research environments.
  

• Experience working with international organizations and global research collaborations.
  

• Industry (for-profit) post-award experience
  

• Certified Research Administrator (CRA), Certified Pre-Award Research Administrator (CPRA), or similar certification.

The base pay range for this position is:

$98,140 - $134,937

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
